THE LAST WARRIOR: Rustam Mosafir's Russian Swordplay Epic Gets An Official U.S. Trailer

Shot with a sprawling look and drenched in haunting, brutal horror, excitement and thrilling, epic intrigue with deadly action, Rustam Mosafir's newest Eastern European filmic delight, The Last Warrior, is something I can wholly attest to in its greatness. I'd say I agree with the quote on the artwork but as it stands, it almost feels like an understatement at this point.

As for its release, Bloody Disgusting provided an exclusive two days ago revealing the official trailer for its August 14 release on DVD, Blu-Ray and VOD. U.K.-based 4Digital Media is handling the title and with any luck, I believe this one might even be slated for a Fantasia premiere in July given the fest's official Vimeo portal has one of the initial trailers uploaded with the title, The Scythian (a.k.a. Skif for its Russian release back in January)
A new era is about to begin in Eastern Europe. Scythians, the proud warriors, are all but gone and most of the few remaining descendants have become ruthless mercenary assassins. Lutobor, is a warrior who becomes involved in intertribal conflicts and sets off on a perilous journey to save his family. His guide is a captive Scythian who is his enemy, but they brave the treacherous wild steppes, moving toward the last haven of the Scythians, to what seems to be their inevitable demise.......
I'm writing heavily about this film having had a chance to review it and you can read my thoughts here, and by all means, pre-order your copy NOW. I recommend it!

The Last Warrior stars Aleksey Faddeev, Aleksandr Kuznetsov, Yuriy Tsurilo, and Saido Kurbanov, and features action sequences by Fedor Starykh who does a shut-your-mouth badass job with the fight scenery in this film.

Check out the trailer!
