The summer should hail a festive  affair for actor Nicolas Cage in the wake of positive reviews of his upcoming RJLE Films release, Panos Coamatos's Mandy. Until then, adding to the list of success is the latest is going into production with Jason Cabell at the helm for the new drug trade thriller, Running With The Devil.

As Borys Kit's post at The Hollywood Reporter, the plot encircles a drug shipment from Mexico to the U.S. and Canada. Cabell is directing from his own script, drawn from career moments of his life serving America's Drug Enforcement Agency in Colombia in addition to his prior service as an active combat Navy SEAL service in more than 100 countries.

The story is set in motion when a cocaine shipment is compromised to the dismay of a cartel leader known as The Boss (Pepper), he orders his most trusted Cook (Cage) and another master drug trafficker, The Man (Fishburne) on a dangerous journey to audit the company’s supply chain.

The script includes the characters The Farmer (Collins Jr.) ,who works with his wife and children in the jungles of Colombia, The Executioner (Hauser), who helps the Cook and the Man, and The Snitch (Goldberg), who is compromised and threatens to reveal secrets.
Also in the mix are Agent in Charge (Bibb) and her Number One (Facinelli) who dog the Cartel.
The film reunites Cage accordingly with Patriot Pictures's own Michael Mendelsohn (Vengeance: A Love Story, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage) who will serve as producer next to Jim Steele. Mike Nilon and Natalie Perrotta are executive producing next to Etchie Stroh who also represents international sales on the film, and with full financing by Queen of Colombia Pictures, LLC.
