BLEACH Unleashes The Quincy, And Two More Shinigami Reveals For The Live-Action Manga Adaptation

Fans are just months away from the upcoming release of Warner Bros. Japan's BLEACH. A July 20 release is in tow and at long last, new character reveals have finally emerged with stills featuring Gintama co-star Yoshizawa Ryo, HIGH&LOW franchise co-star Saotome Taichi and Japanese singer and songwriter and Kong: Skull Island co-star, actor MIYAVI.

Sato's film hails from Kubo Tite's 74-volume 2001 manga and subsequent 366-episode anime from Studio Pierrot in 2004, telling of a stoic high school student with the ability to see ghosts, and the perilous joruney of self-discovery that ensues he's imbued with newly-transferred powers of a Shinigami - a Soul Reaper, to fend off afterworld soul-consuming beasts known as Hollows.

Blade Of The Immortal co-stars, actor Fukushi Sota and actress Sugisaki Hana have long since been made known for their respective additions as Kurosaki Ichigo and Shinigami, Kuchiki Rukia. Going forward as of this week in hopes of an official trailer to come, the latest reveals now introduce us firstly to a new set pic of Yoshizawa as Ishida Uryu, the last surviving member of the Quincy and bittersweet ally to Kurosaki.

The remaining two showcase more Shinigami arrivals including the red-haired Saotome as Abarai Renji, Shinigami lieutenant of the 6th division in the Gotei 13 from the Soul Society, and MIYAVI as Kuchiki Byakuya, Captain of the 6th division of the Gotei 13 and one of the most respected nobles of the Soul Society. Both are equipped with phenomenal skills in weapons in addition to executing deadly finishing moves known as Bankai. The two also share a close relationship to Rukia with Byakuya being her adoptive older brother.

The film also marks another Blade Of The Immortal reunion for MIYAVI who contributed to the film's hit title track, "Die Another Day".
Plot details for the film aren't quite clear while at least the photos entail a possible clash between Ichigo with Byakuya and Renji, in addition to Uryu sporting his long bow per his archery skills among other special abilities in his spiritually-powered repetoire. There may be more character reveals to come, and BLEACH is a pretty big and epic story - one that I would wholly welcome if it meant at least taking us to the Soul Society.

Of course even under sequel standards, that would mean cutting certain corners, but I'm interested in what this movie will at least entail in its handling. Stick around.
