DEADLY CLASS: SYFY Orders Graphic Novel Series Adaptation

Adam Targum (Banshee) is officially tapped to helm the pilot and serve as showrunner for forthcoming SYFY action drama, Deadly Class. The new series hails from Sony Pictures Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions and has wrangled a team of writers and executive producers to shepherd the pilot, including Rick Remender who co-created of the graphic novel from which the show is being adapted with Wes Craig.
DEADLY CLASS follows a disillusioned teen recruited into a storied high school for assassins. Maintaining his moral code while surviving a ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques, and his own adolescent uncertainties may prove fatal. Set against the backdrop of late 80s counter culture, DEADLY CLASS is a coming of age journey unlike anything you've ever seen.
Targum and Remender are joined by Miles Feldsott in executive producing along with Russo Bros. Productions' own Joe and Anthony Russo (The Avengers, Captain America) and Mike Larocca (Spy), and with executive produce along with Lee Toland Krieger (The Age of Adaline).

Deadly Class joins previously announced projects in development at SYFY including Nightflyers, a pilot based on author George R.R. Martin's novella, Tremors, from the 1990 film of the same name starring Kevin Bacon and The Purge, based on the popular film franchise and set to air on both USA and SYFY.
