LUCKY: Prosperity At A Price In The Official Trailer For Bari Kang's Debut Crime Thriller

Actor and filmmaker Bari Kang is off to a swift start for his debut turn at the helm for New York City's independent film scene. His new crime thriller, Lucky, has since scored a limited theatrical and iTunes release on June 16 and a trailer began circulating online late last month.

Lucky is an undocumented immigrant hustling to get by in New York City and saving for a green card marriage. Mechanic by day and car thief by night, he is close to achieving his goal. When Lucky's partner in petty crime disappears, he naively befriends a local drug dealer, pulling him deeper into the NYC underworld. He soon finds himself in over his head and forced to take extreme action to protect the ones he cares for.

Winning Best Feature at Urbanworld last year certainly adds to the appeal a bit on top of early review buzz. Kang wrote the script and is joined by Alfredo Diaz, Natalia Zvereva and Pooya Mohseni for the cast.
