The manga's latest return to anime form now brings the efforts of directors Furuhashi Kazuhiro and Kidokoro Toshiaki to North America by way of ELEVEN ARTS with the rollout of a two-part anime feature film release which commences on June 8 with the first title. The LA-based studio is officially out this week with a trailer for Furuhashi's film following its Japan release last November and with actress Hayami Saori and actor Miyano Mamoru headlining the voice cast of our lead couple, Benio and Shinobu. The sequel, dubbed The Grand Tokyo Romance, is reportedly readying a Fall release.
During the Taisho era of 1918, 17-year-old Benio Hanamura thrives on bucking tradition.
