PROSPECT: Interstellar Treasure Hunters Become The Hunted In The Official Trailer For Its SXSW Premiere

Nearly a decade after stirring crowds with festival shorts, the last five years have proven much more fruitful for SHEP Films's own Zeek Earl and Chris Caldwell as their directorial feature debut, Prospect, readies for its SXSW premiere. The official trailer has since arrived ahead of its world premiere as part of the Visions line-up among Narrative Features, and host to footage of a thrilling western-style interstellar spectacle.
A teenage girl and her father travel to a remote alien moon, aiming to strike it rich. They've secured a contract to harvest a large deposit of the elusive gems hidden in the depths of the moon's toxic forest. But there are others roving the wilderness and the job quickly devolves into a fight to survive. Forced to contend not only with the forest's other ruthless inhabitants, but with her own father's greed-addled judgment, the girl finds she must carve her own path to escape.
Earl and Caldwell wrote the script with a cast that lists newcomer Sophie Thatcher as daughter to the father role by Jay Duplass, and with Pedro Pascal, Andre Royo, Sheila Vand and Anwan Glover also starring. Check out the trailer!
