THE HUMANITY BUREAU: Nicolas Cage Battles Global Dystopia And Corporate Conspiracies In The Latest Trailer

2018 will surely be a year to bookmark for anyone and everyone looking forward to a Nicolas Cage movie. Rob W. King's The Humanity Bureau is certainly looking to leave a mark of its own with a specialty delivery arriving in March and April both as a standalone episodic virtual reality series, and as a feature film tethered for immersive Barco Escape theaters.
The year is 2030. Global warming has turned parts of the American Midwest into a desert. In its attempt to take hold of the economic recession, a government agency called The Humanity Bureau exiles members of society deemed unproductive and banishes them to a colony known as New Eden An ambitious and impartial caseworker Noah Kross (Cage) investigates a case appealed by a single mother (Lind) and her son (Davies). Knowing the unjust fate of the innocent boy, Kross sets off to save the lives of the mother and child duo and to expose the truth about The Humanity Bureau’s secrets once and for all.
The Humanity Bureau VRevolution arrives on March 2 with theatrical and premium VOD releases for The Humanity Bureau on April 6. Variety broke the news last month as the film signals yet another foray into immersive theatergoing with titles like The Maze Runner films, Wesley Snipes headlier The Recall, and Star Trek: Beyond.
“We shot the film in three different formats, including standard theatrical, 3-screen Barco Escape theatrical, and cinematic virtual reality to provide multiple avenues for audiences to engage with and experience the story’s universe,” said producer Kevin DeWalt. “We hope to give viewers more options for alternative content within today’s new media.”
The Humanity Bureau hails frpm QME Entertainment Inc., a joint venture between Quiver Distribution Inc. and producers at Minds Eye Entertainment. Bridgegate Pictures, VMI Worldwide, Invico Capital and The Fyzz Facility also produced.
