Ray Bradbury's 1953 novel, Fahrenheit 451, has long been a source of inspiration for many creatives in T.V., film and literature. 99 Homes helmer Ramin Bahrani is joining the lot these days for his own fray into thought-provoking sci-fi dystopia and with a release later this year slated foe HBO, the film now has its newest teaser circulating.
Starring Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon, Fahrenheit 451 is based on Ray Bradbury's classic novel. In a future where the media is an opiate, history is rewritten and "firemen" burn books, Jordan plays Montag, a young fireman who struggles with his role as law enforcer. Battling his mentor, fire captain Beatty, played by Shannon, he forsakes his world in an effort to regain his humanity.Also starring are Sofia Boutella and Lilly Singh with Laura Harrier, Keir Dullea, Martin Donovan, Grace Lynn Kung, and Jane Moffatt.
