MORTAL ENGINES: London Goes Hunting In The First Official Teaser

Phillip Reeve's award-winning inaugural fantasy novel, Mortal Engines, breathed new life into its fandom upon the announcement of a live-action adaptation from the team that brought loyal movielovers The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit. Here and now rejoining acclaimed Peter Jackson serving in a writing and producing capacity is Oscar-decorated VFX wizard Christian Rivers in his first major debut at the helm for a what looks to be a reverent, lively cinematic transition for the start of a new franchise going into 2018.
Thousands of years after civilization was destroyed by a cataclysmic event, humankind has adapted and a new way of living has evolved. Gigantic moving cities now roam the Earth, ruthlessly preying upon smaller traction towns. Tom Natsworthy (Robert Sheehan)—who hails from a Lower Tier of the great traction city of London—finds himself fighting for his own survival after he encounters the dangerous fugitive Hester Shaw (Hera Hilmar). Two opposites, whose paths should never have crossed, forge an unlikely alliance that is destined to change the course of the future.
