Sreven Soderburgh's UNSANE Lands At New Regency; Fingerprint, Bleecker Street Sets March U.S. Date

Apparently director Steve Soderburgh's latest horror thriller is being shot using an iPhone - I couldn't tell you much of anything since I'm an Android user but I guess the Logan Lucky helmer was up for a fitting challenge.

At any rate, New Regency announced on Wednesday that the company has acquired the international distribution rights to the Academy Award winning director’s upcoming psychological horror thriller, Unsane. The new move underscores New Regency's m.o. to collaborate with like-minded and visionary creative talent.

Leading the cast is actress Claire Foy who plays a young woman involuntarily committed to a mental institution where she is confronted by her greatest fear while identifying whether or not it is real, or a figment of her delusion. Joining in are Joshua Leonard, Jay Pharoah, Juno Temple, Aimee Mullins, and Amy Irving starring from a script by Jonathan Bernstein and James Greer.
“We have always been great admirers of Steven’s work, and we’re delighted to finally work together to share his latest daring and intriguing film with the world. UNSANE is hopefully one of many collaborations to come,” said Yariv Milchan, Chairman of New Regency.
New Regency will distribute the film in all territories outside of North America through 20th Century Fox International while the film's U.S. run premieres on March 23, 2018 through Soderbergh's Fingerprint Releasing and Bleecker Street. Unsane is produced by Joseph Malloch with Ken Meyer, New Regency’s Arnon Milchan, and Dan Fellman executive producing.
