Roger Corman's PALACE OF THE DAMNED Gets A Milestone China Release

Lifetime Achievement Oscar Winner and legendary B-movie producer Roger Corman has made history overseas for his first co-production with China on horror thriller, Palace Of The Damned. The film is rebranded as Shen Gong Yuan Ling《深宮怨靈》 for its China-wide release on Friday from acclaimed Wushu helmer, Hong Kong/Australian director Antony Szeto, and heralded by Corman in the latest announcement trailer as one of his favorites out of his 400-film resume as producer.
Palace of the Damned centres around a 300 year old legend about a concubine who was thrown into a well and drowned. When an American film crew goes to China to investigate unexplained deaths, they themselves become victims of the spirit world.
According to the announcement, the film also marks the first time a full-fledged horror movie will be seen theatrically in China, a move that reportedly speaks to audience demand in the middle kingdom for further profusion of titles in the genre given consumers' viewership of uncensored movies online.

Shen Gong Yuan Ling stars Katie Savoy (Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda), Chinese American action star JuJu Chan (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny), Chinese action star Wang Wenjie (The Empress of China), Turkish super star Kerem Bursin (Sharktopus), Cathrine Siggins, James Taku Leung and Li Yixin.
