It's taken a few years for the new film, Attrition, to gain some movement but has since taken shape with Covert Operation helmer Mathieu Weschler directing. The cast itself is partly an impressive pic led by Steven Seagal whose script centers on Axe, a stoic, hermetized former soldier who assembles his old team to confront a ruthless crimeboss and rescue the beautiful enchantress who helped redeem him.
The film's recent sales poster is pretty blah, but is still gaining traction among fans notably listing Kung Fu Killer co-stars Louis Fan and Donnie Yen cohort Yu Kang, the latter who plays the villain. Rounding out the cast are Yoon Cha-Lee (Plan B: Scheiss Auf Plan A) and actress Ting Sue and Kat Ingkarat (Locked Up), with James Bennett (Kill 'Em All), Rudy Youngblood (Wind Walkers) and MMA Fighter Sergey Badyuk... and an adorable pitbull to boot!
