If more Chan is what you require for your sustenance, look no further than what now lies ahead from rising filmmaker Vash with forthcoming period fantasy pic, Knight Of Shadows. The news comes with word from Screendaily on the film's sales at this month's American Film Market which will be repped internationally by Golden Network Asia.
Jackie Chan, fresh off of Martin Campbell's The Foreigner, will play a demon hunter who sets out to defend humanity with the aid of his lawman protégé and a group of friendly monsters when evil forces invade a village to feast on the souls of young girls. The film is reportedly in production with Kiefer Liu serving as producer. iQiyi Pictures, Sparkle Roll Media and Golden Shore Films & Television are backing the film ahead of its 2019 release.
The honorary Oscar winner will also appear in the upcoming action sci-fi, Bleeding Steel, starting in China this December.
