Watch The Trailer For Yuhe Li's Crime Comedy, ABSURD ACCIDENT

Taking on some of today's bizzare headlines, director Yuhe Li chose the route of a black comedy as the template for his debut film, Absurd Accident. Having now garnered festival nominations from Shanghai and Macau, the film is now poised for more locations during its limited North American run as of May, as well as a spot in Brooklyn, New York's Asian American International Film Festival which kicks off from July 26 through August 5.
Bouncing with nail-biting suspense and ingenious humor, young Chinese filmmaker Li Yuhe's feature debut portrays a puzzling crime happened in a rural small town, where greed, lust and wit battle it out in one night. It all starts from a sexually impotent motel owner hiring a pro to murder his cheating wife. Everything goes exactly as planned, until two blind daters, a robber, a policeman and a strange dead body unexpectedly arrive.
Absurd Accident is executive produced by Derek Yee with a cast that enlists Xixu Chen, Ye Gao, Suxi Ren, Bo Dong and Yunfei Lou.
