DOMINO: 'Game Of Thrones' Actress Carice van Houten To Give Chase In De Palma's Epic Cat-And-Mouse Crime Thriller

Production is now underway for Brian De Palma's new thriller, Domino, with locations in Belgium, Spain, Denmark and The Netherlands as per the story's epic setting. Nicolaj Coster-Waldau and Christina Hendricks were officially cast in the film as of May but will now have Coster-Waldau's fellow Game Of Thrones cohort, Carice van Houten starring in Hendricks's place.

Petter Skavlan (Kon-Tiki, Sophie's World) wrote the concurrent script setting the film on course through a Europe shaken by terrorist attacks with Coster-Waldau and van Houten playing a pair of Copenhagen cops seeking vengeance for the murder of their fellow comrade. In lieu of their journey will be troubling revelations about the man they are chasing, and the CIA operative hunting down the ISIS cell behind the Europe attacks.
“I am delighted to join the cast of Domino; it’s a privilege to be working with such an iconic director,” the Dutch-born van Houten said. “And who knew that Jamie Lannister and Melisandre would meet outside Westeros?”
Eriq Ebouaney also stars. Producing are Michel Schønnemann for Schønne Film (Denmark), Jacqueline de Goey for Zilvermeer (Belgium), Antonio Perez Perez for Suroeste (Spain) and Els Vandevorst for N279 Entertainment (the Netherlands) with Backup Media, Joel Thibout, Jean Baptiste Babin, David Atlan Jackson and Peter Garde executive producing.
Van Houten is expected to return to HBO hit series, Game Of Thrones for its seventh season on July 16. (Deadline)
