THE MUMMY Crashlands Online With A Brand New Trailer!

Amid the electricity and hype during CinemaCon came talk that actress Sofia Boutella intially chose not to play the title role of director/producer Alex Kurtzmann's reboot of The Mummy. Rather, she had to be talked into it and for what it's worth and as far as trailers are concerned, I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Boutella's presence now aims to help set a course for the studio's efforts in growing a fresh new cinematic monster universe that will later add The Wolfman, Van Helsing, Bride Of Frankestein and more. For this, we have actor Tom Cruise leading the tale alongside actress Annabelle Wallis on a mission of their own, and quite a strenuous one at that. Sixty-four takes in two days for a tumultuous high-altitude anti-gravity action sequence set on a plane with copious puking between takes is...something.

SYNOPSIS:
Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.
From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.
Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Oscar® winner Russell Crowe also star for the film's June release, making it a lovely summer to catch Boutella in not one but two awesome-looking movies - the other being the super-sexy and slick action thriller Atomic Blonde the following July.

I could get used to this. Check out the trailer below!
