Paramount Pictures is ramping up to advance Image Comics's 2002 property, The Pro, according to Deadline. Bitches On A Boat scribe Zoe McCarthy is attached to pen a script with 3 Arts's own Erwin Stoff producing.
The film aims to put a comedic twist on the superhero genre with The Pro which centers on a prostitute who wakes up one day with superpowers and is asked to join the League Of Honor. The comic was created by Garth Ennis, Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti and launched in 2002, and is currently in its 8th run with Image and Paperfilms.
If Palmiotti’s name sounds familiar, it's also due to his 1996 graphic novel, Painkiller Jane, which as of last November is moving forward at Solipsist Films with actress Jessica Chastain starring and producing.
