Director James Gunn's May 5 release, Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol. 2 has reportedly tested and been rated a perfect 100 among insiders according to The Hollywood Reporter, which is very good news for actor Dave Bautista who has several titles set to arrive this year. Keep that in mind while the actor continues to help lay more thrilling groundwork for action and suspense in Jodie Foster's new movie, Hotel Artemis.
Writer Drew Pearce (Marvel One-Shot: All Hail The King, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, Iron Man 3) will make his directorial feature debut with a plot set in futuristic Los Angeles where a nurse who runs an underground hospital for the city's most sinister criminals discovers that one of her patients is actually there to assassinate another. Lionsgate just boarded international sales for the film for Marc Platt (La La Land) to produce with Adam Siegel and The Ink Factory's own Simon Cornwell and Stephen Cornwell.
via Deadline:
Pearce says, “Mr. Bautista is a force to be reckoned with — a powerful presence who’s equal parts strength and soulfulness. I’m a true fan, and it’s a privilege to have him in the world of Hotel Artemis.”
Bautista will also star alongside Brittany Snow in RLJ Entertainment's Bushwick while October 14 will see his appearance in Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford. Bautista also has Marvel's The Avengers: Infinity War, now in production for its May 4, 2018 release.
