“I hadn’t seen another character like her out there,” Theron says. “She doesn’t apologize for anything. We made her strong and feisty. She’s cheeky. These were all things I responded to.”Oscar® winner Theron stars as MI6’s most lethal assassin Lorraine Broughton who is sent to Berlin to utilize her elite skillset in espionage, engagment and survival tactics in order to deliver a priceless dossier with the help of embedded station chief David Percival (James McAvoy) in lieu of the city's crumbling wall. Amidst all this, of course, we are promised some slick, gritty and hardcore action for which Theron trained about four months in which the actress herself also sustained her fair share of training injuries before filming, something which didn't wane at all on the actress or the director on set during production:
“It’s refreshing to find an actor who can do these long, long takes, memorize the choreography, maintain the character, and deliver a performance,” Leitch says. “She’s extraordinary.”The film opens July 28 with John Goodman, Til Schweiger, Eddie Marsan, Sofia Boutella and Toby Jones also starring.
